Looking toward October 14th

Columbine: the book that takes us on a journey through the minds of the killers and survivors of the Columbine High School tragedy received much appreciation from readers when it was published in 2009. The book with its “before” and “after” structure compels us to assess a baffling and horrific chapter of contemporary history. What is perhaps even more distressing is that we continue to live in a labyrinth of such recurring nightmares. To understand and to use the past as a tool to face the shifting sands of the future, we should reach for this book. It may be haunting and enlightening at the same time.
We meet on the 14th October, 2014 at 1:30 pm to discuss Dave Cullen’s Columbine.
The venue is Room 305 in the new wing of the college that is close to the Student’s Center.
